Rain May Fall – Where It Began

20140526-180109-64869370.jpg “Where It Began” was a rock album. I don’t mean to say that as “oh, it was a rock album that’s it nothing else”. I mean to say it in a way that I’m placing it among albums that define their genre and have done a good job doing so, and that is what Rain May Fall has done here. They have taken their unused talents and morphed them into a 4-track EP that I think completely expresses what the musical genre of rock is all about in today’s world. They use catchy riffs that can and will draw the attention of many rock lover across the globe in a heartbeat who also enjoy the rough style of the guitars and lyrics that sometimes crosses over to metal, but resides mostly among rock where it sounds best. The vocals themselves have a style to them that I can’t put into words, but someone who commented on the album did. He said that the vocals are “fantastic” and have “a southern edge”. Couldn’t have said it any better myself! Then the drums themselves keep a steady sound that is overall great while standing out among the songs, but still being able to stay attached to the rest of the band’s momentum. This whole EP is just a prelude for what is to come later in the band’s existence where they’ll create more albums, make more songs, push out hits, and gather more fans.
