Since this is only a single, I’ll make this short and sweet as I always have except. . . well it’ll be more short and more sweet than usual this time. “The Scarecrow” was a nice track and a good enough prelude to We The Machine’s upcoming album “Seasons” because it has several elements that people like me can use and “translate” to gain a glimpse as to what the full album might be like. To me, “Seasons” will be a mix of rock and metal with good vocals, guitars, and drums much like “The Scarecrow” did. The vocals, however, I had mixed feelings about but still mostly positive. I liked when the vocalist did his more intense and screaming bits, those were great, but the one thing that kept making me stop and have to adjust to was his softer vocals. I liked them too don’t get me wrong, it’s just one of those things that I’m not particularly keen on. Many are, I’m not, but that still doesn’t change the fact that the vocals are good either way. The guitars and drums were also good because they were both heavy and well coordinated in that they both have sporadic notes sometimes but always keep the rhythm going and they maintain a great beat through the entire track. The overall tone and sound of the single was also good. It kept your attention and made you want to hear more. Hopefully, this track is a good sign for what is to come in the band’s next album, “Seasons”. I will definitely take a listen to that and do a review because I have confidence just from this track that the album will be good. I also have confidence that the band won’t let me and other fans down with the album, and I say that because this track didn’t so why should the full album? Also, I just know the album will be good, so if you have a problem with my confidence or say otherwise, I can tell from right here that you’d be dead wrong.
