Anyone who has their life constantly revolve around music knows for an absolute fact that a band’s first EP, first album, first anything is a very important foothold for a band in the music industry. When I heard Last Call For Dignity’s debut EP “First Call” I decided that LC4D (let’s just use that as an acronym) had made a pretty firm foothold that it might help them get signed fairly quick. That’s if they already haven’t, I don’t know. But as with all debuts there is always something that could be improved or made different. For me this time it was the vocals. While they were overall good with their tone and usage throughout the album, they could’ve been more synchronized with the guitars and drums, and this would’ve made them sound better in my opinion. Other than that small little piece that I couldn’t let go, the rest of “First Call” was very solid. The guitars sounded really good and had a nice rhythm and tone throughout the whole EP and they held their own every single moment. And the drums were also good with having a sick (sick meaning good in this case) beat the entire time along with the guitars and making a great combo between the two that makes me look forward to whatever LC4D has in store for their next EP or first full length album. It’d be something I’d keep my eyes peeled for for sure.
