This album was classified as “pop rock” but. . . eh. . . sounds like normal rock n roll if you ask me, but I’m not the one who came up with the genre names so whatever. “Washington Street” is an album that all the casual rock lovers will like I’ve no doubt and it’s a nice switch for someone like me who listens to metalcore, death metal, nu metal, and thrash metal on an almost 24/7 basis. The album is a smooth piece of work that has a really nice sound to it that can be listened to in just about any normal situation and no one would object. The vocals, guitars, and drums are all very well mixed together so that they all produce very well done songs. Get Stoked is certainly a band that can do a lot more with this type of rock and I’m sure that they could pull off many more albums such as this. “Washington Street” releases in 2 days (August 19th if you don’t have a calender right there) and it’s certainly one to check out.
