With this being Circaic’s (as far as I know) debut album, it’s not bad at all. But, of course, like all debut albums and the bands it could use a few different changes in my eyes. To other people it’s perfect, I’m sure. But this is just my view. And really the only thing that I felt wasn’t as good as it could’ve been were the softer non-screaming vocals. I just didn’t think they sounded as good as they could be. I’ve got no problem with the vocals other than that. Maybe Circaic could just make the album purely the more hardcore vocals? Eh. . . it might work. Might not, though. A lot of metal bands can pull off the softer and heavier vocals flawlessly, and Circaic just missed the mark for me. But anyway, onto the news that doesn’t make me sound like an asshole critic again! I liked the guitars a lot in all honesty. They were heavy and were able to maintain awesome sounds and rhythm the whole time along with the drums that kept up nice pace and beat too. While the softer vocals did drag this down a little bit everything else greatly outweighed that very slight negative and made it into something that was barely even a problem. And like I said, there’s no doubt someone who thought this album was perfect and good for them. Circaic is certainly good and has plenty in store for us in the future I’m sure.
