Prayed and Betrayed – The Abundance of a Sickened Mind

It’s always nice to know when bands try something different, and it’s even better to know that said band pulled it off exceedingly well. And that is apparently what Prayed and Betrayed has done with their new EP “The Abundance of a Sickened Mind” that has (according to the email they sent me) a style that “has changed from the traditional death metal to a more technical and melodic heading” which is fine by me in any case I like death and melodic metal so this band can’t really go wrong for me. The band managed to pull off this transition … Continue reading Prayed and Betrayed – The Abundance of a Sickened Mind

Vital Silence (band)

After listening to their only 3 songs released on the internet, this honestly sounds like one of those bands that some high school girl would possibly have a crush on. Probably not to the degree that’s been seen with fuck face Bieber. . . but I think you get the idea. They’re that good. Anyway, “Terminal” started off really slow for me with the opening track, “Hollowed”, not being as engaging as I thought it would be. But the rest of “Terminal” was much more engaging. The vocals had a nice screaming tone to them that really assaulted the ear drums and never let up the whole time which kept the brutality of “Terminal” ongoing without letting up once. The guitars have an absolutely vicious rhythm the entire time and … Continue reading At Fault – Terminal

Ominous (band)

From what I could find, Ominous doesn’t have any form out in the form of an album until the 30th of this month (for Americans at least). But Ominous did inform me about a music player on Facebook that takes their songs from reverbnation.com and allows them to be played on Facebook. Which is fine by me in any case as long as I’m able to actually hear the music. Since Ominous doesn’t have an official album out yet, I’ll just talk about their 5 songs that are available. And in all honesty I cannot place whether Ominous is sludge … Continue reading Ominous (band)
