Please do not ask me what the “(sthlm)” stands for because I’ve no idea in the slightest. So for today let’s just call this band Stray. Makes things easier for me and you. But anyway, Stray’s latest EP “Overnaut” is a nice piece of grunge rock and a little metal influence. There’s not a whole lot of metal going on in “Overnaut” but there’s enough for it to be a noticeable factor. The rest of it however is definitely grunge. And good grunge to say in the least. The sounds of the guitars have a real edgy sound to them that will most likely make grunge fans pretty happy. I’ve never been huge into grunge so I’m not quite sure what “good” grunge is or isn’t, but there’s several out there who’d be able to establish a better opinion. But overall, “Overnaut” is a nice EP that will certainly attract some people with Stray’s combo of the vocals that leaned more towards metal-like vocals, rough and yet smooth guitars, and drums that have a real nice beat to them that is always present in the background. This is certainly an album that would have a much more detailed review if someone who was bigger into grunge rock did this, but all you got in me! And I’m not sorry for that.
