I’ve never imagined what a mixture of Bon Jovi and Journey would sound like, but now I don’t have to because Wild Rose has done that with their upcoming third album “Hit ‘N’ Run”. Now keep in mind that while I’m not real big into this type of rock I do not mind it in the least. I’m one of those people that can easily listen to “Bad Medicine” and “Don’t Stop Believing” in a heart beat, but not very often. “Hit ‘N’ Run” incorporated many elements that (for lack of better examples) Bon Jovi and Journey used to become popular whether they meant to or not. The keyboards and rums you can hear whenever they start adding a little bit of background noise that sounds good when they’re used with this type of music. The guitars along with the vocals were the kind that are normal for melodic rock bands which are not bad to listen to for someone like me who listens to all types of music, but they’re definitely not for everyone. And then there’s that cover that I think (most likely not true) that the creators of it just said, “Let’s just make something that’ll really grab the attention.” Well that cover certainly does gather some attention. While I personally won’t buy “Hit ‘N’ Run” when it drops on the 13th of October that doesn’t mean at all that it’s a bad album by any means. I’ve no doubt many people out there will enjoy this a lot, however I’m just not one of them.
