As you can probably tell from that cover, this is one raw piece of work. Old Wounds’ new EP “Death Projection” is just that as it brings something new to the table for Old Wounds as the drummer, Brandon Gallagher, tells Alternative Press, “‘We wrote this EP in January and February between our tours with Raindance and our full US with Hollow Earth,” says Gallagher. “It’s definitely more metal influenced then any of our other material, and we all think it’s our best. Consider it as a teaser of the direction we’re going to be headed for the next LP.'” I really liked how this was their first attempt at making more metal influenced music than before and they hit the nail right on the head. It had a nice brutal sound to it that was raw at the same time and that’s was what made this a good EP and what makes me look forward to what else Old Wounds has in store for us. A full album will definitely be interesting especially if it’ll be anything like “Death Projection”.
