There are albums out there who cater to the true fans of each genre. Metalcore has Killswitch Engage and others. Thrash metal has (old) Metallica, Slayer, Iron Maiden, etc. Vomitile from the small country Cyprus is now one of those for the true hardcore death metal fans. “Mastering the Art of Killing” is an amazing death metal album that really does a great job at hearkening back to the pure old school death metal, but with a few melodic additions while not having it become overpowering. The album has a truly raw sound and feel to it that is expressed everywhere and that includes the cover art. I mean look at it. Pretty fucking good looking if you ask me. Each and every track has a different level of brutality to it, and they all have a constant hardcore sound to them that never ends and persists from the beginning to the end of the album. Overall, “Mastering the Art of Killing” is an amazing piece of death metal that is an absolute must for any real fan of the genre and you better get it because you’re seriously missing out if you don’t at least listen to this album when it comes out October 3rd in Europe and November 11th in North America.
