Please do not ask me what any of these words mean in the band name, title, or lyrics because I haven’t the slightest idea. I’ve tried looking them up for translation but not luck there so oh well. Anyways, “Crux Lupus Corona” is an album that the record label (I, Voidhanger Records) calls “a very personal take on occult/satanic black metal by embracing the fierce aggressiveness of 80’s metal and the formidable grooves of 70’s hard rock.” That is a really good description because this really is black metal that sounds like it’s straight from the 80s and has elements of 70s hard rock that can be heard clearly if you pay enough attention or if you’ve heard enough hard rock from that era that you can notice it in a heart beat. You can definitely tell that when you pay close attention to the bass that has an amazing beat and rhythm to it all throughout this EP. For those of you out there who enjoy combinations like what I’ve told you about then you should definitely check out Inconcessus Lux Lucis’ new album because I’ve full confidence that you’ll enjoy it. And if you don’t, listen to it again. And if that doesn’t work . . . that’s your problem then.
