After Despite’s critically acclaimed album “EPic” (which I personally love and still listen to everyday), they have released a new single called “Chaos Trigger” that is to come from their next album that is currently unnamed to the public. And those of us out there who love Despite and thought if “Chaos Trigger” would hold up to the standards of “EPic” have nothing to fear because this single might as well of come off the EP because everything is as good as they were before if not better in some people’s mind. This single is an absolute brutal piece that is just like the other songs from their previous work. The only thing that I felt like could’ve made this better, and this is just me being a critic here, if they would’ve thrown in the style of vocals that the chorus of “Sanctum Falls” had . . . would’ve been infinitely more flawless, even though this single is infinitely flawless as it is. The vocals are moderately the same as they were from the song “Unexceptional” and the guitars have great riffs and just reverberate with brutality so much that you can feel the pounding in your brain. And the drums are (of course) perfectly done as they were before by giving the song a fast paced beat in the background that all the head-bangers out there will never get tired of I can guarantee. I absolutely cannot wait for this album because it is with no doubt going to cause some ripples among the metal community because . . . just go watch the lyric video for this song and you’ll see what I’m fucking talking about.
