Attila isn’t exactly my most favorite metal band out there, and in fact some people out there will argue that this isn’t “true metal”. Well they can shut up because I can review whatever the fuck I want, and Attila can make whatever music they fucking want. This would fall under “party metal” according to their Facebook page and that seems pretty accurate, but to me it’s more rap metal because while there is definitely rap-like vocals in their new album “Guilty Pleasure” along with deep, death metal-like vocals that I personally think could make the album flawless if the whole album was just that. But it isn’t so I’ll have to live with it. Both vocals are great at what they do though, they get their feel across easily and go very, very well with the guitars and drums that are both brutal and rhythmic to the point where anyone who can like what they’re hearing will probably be wanting to buy “Guilty Pleasure”. No promises, though. Never any promises. And I imagine Attila fans won’t be disappointed with this album because it’s fast, hardcore, and brutal compared to what I’ve heard of their previous work so that’s always a good sign for those of us who can’t get enough heaviness.
