Holy. Fucking. Shit. This album is so goddamn raw that if it were a steak then it’d be still attached to a live cow; as raw as it gets. I love it . . . “Stranger” is by far the epitome of grindcore death metal albums of 2014 simply because of how amazingly well done it is! Everything about this album is brutal to the core and just doesn’t end for the entire fucking album and it’s great! If you like both grind and death metal and REALLY want to see a band combine the two and make it work then Cretin has made your fucking day! The vocals for this album were just absolutely ruthless in every sense of the word and the guitars and drums had rhythm to them that was devilishly fantastic for the whole album. All of “Stranger” is just a blast of brutality that blew me away because of the direction it took which is one of the best raw, hardcore, and all around grind metal. Last year was definitely a fantastic year for all genres of metal and the awesome albums like this just keep rising up and showing how great they are and the potential that these bands have.
