In terms of raw brutality and sheer force, this is probably the best death metal album of this degree since Cannibal Corpse’s “A Skeletal Domain” last year. And I think that just by the cover art alone some of you may already be staring at it going “I’m gettin’ a piece of that shit!” Well you’d be totally good with me if you’re compelled to listen to “The Devil Inside” when it comes out because this album has the brutality switch turned on for absolutely everything from the amazing vocals to the digitally added audio like at the beginning of one song is just the sound of a swarm of flies around you and it gives this suffocating feel that is then blown apart when the rest of the song pounds your ears into a pulp and continues to for the entirety of the album. The whole album is like that, and I love it. “The Devil Inside” lives, breathes, and is what people expect when they hear “death metal” and it doesn’t disappoint for us fans because it has the whole nine yards and impresses to no end. And if Embrional has more shit like this in the works. . . holy mother of shit my brain would just fucking explode in amazement and then pieces itself back together only to get blown back apart when it hears the next album.
