One hour and 14 minutes. One hour and 14 minutes and eight tracks. Holy shit! I’ve rarely been able to come across albums with songs that exceed 10 minutes and pulled it off with the most notable being Inter Arma’s latest album “The Cavern”. But “Mach Dich Frei” had an amazing sound for its entirety especially for the seventh track, “Reise zum…”, which was purely instrumental but it was a solid 5 minutes of sounds coalesced to create something soothing but powerful all at once. The vocals in this along with both the drums and the guitars that they create a simply epic combo that sounds just fucking awesome. Even though sometimes the songs seemed like they were a bit too stretched out and could have been shorter the album still uses the length to its advantage and I know that any fan of really long songs can come to really enjoy “Mach Dich Frei” as I have.
