Post metal has always greatly interested me with its great variety of sounds and tones that can happen in just one album and even one song. “The Bleakness” from A Secret Revealed is a great post metal album in every way and the first track show how true that is because the opening track goes from metal to calm in a second. I personally thought that the vocals where trying just a little bit too hard, but overall they were good and suited the album very well along with the guitars and drums which had a great sound for the entirety of the album. And while “The Bleakness” wasn’t a masterpiece in any way of the term, it is different an album worth checking out if you’re looking for something a little different than your everyday metal. So go listen to it, dammit.
