“The Great Bazaar” is a little on the odd side of metal in the way it’s performed, and you may have already guessed that from the very different looking cover art. Subterranean Masquerade is a progressive symphonic metal group but some of the vocals were very deep and guttural much like death metal so I was really taken aback because I did not see that kind of shit coming, but it worked out pretty well so I’m okay with it. But there was also a nice variety of sounds played by instruments that I cannot place for whatever reason, so that gave “The Great Bazaar” a nice different sound that gave the album some longevity since it didn’t just use your every day guitars and drums. Overall, “The Great Bazaar” was a nice change from the symphonic metal that I’ve heard in the past with bringing new elements and sounds to the music that I haven’t heard of before Subterranean Masquerade. This is something that deserves to checked out by all fans of symphonic metal because this will quite possibly blow your minds and make you want Subterranean Masquerade to make a new album yesterday.
