There’s an absolute fuck ton of instrumental bands out there, and while some are good there’s always a near equal number of bands who aren’t good. Tempel’s brand new album “The Moon Lit Our Path” is without any sort of doubt one of the higher quality of instrumental bands because holy shit is this album a trip that must be taken no matter what for any metal fan. If you’re one of those people who loves the heavy sound and feel but not so much the deep growls, then Tempel has the shit for you, dammit! All 5 tracks stretch from over 8 minutes at shortest to over 12 minutes at its longest. The heavy riffs and groove that are spread throughout “The Moon Lit Our Path” absolutely grab your attention and forces you to keep listening because you simply cannot stop because of how hypnotic they are. Do I think that vocals would improve the album? Maybe, but right now I’m more than happy to let Tempel keep to their instrumental ways because they know exactly what they’re doing and there’s nothing that we can do to deter them from this awesome path which happens to be moonlit. Tempel have now begun an amazing trip that is sure to be only beginning. And now if you would excuse me, I’m going to go check out their debut album which is surely kick ass.
