+Mrome+ – Noetic Collision on the Roof of Hell

It’s hard to look for new metal in today’s world without the material in question being accompanied by some sort of categorization that’s all but incredibly specific. I’m very guilty of doing this as I, like many people, like to know just what kind of music I’m getting myself into beforehand. But sometimes, there are bands out there that just defy all sorts of genre specification and simply perform metal. +Mrome+ is a great example of such, and their debut packs a punch that truly hits like a ton of fucking bricks.

Right out of the gates, this Polish duo doesn’t waste any time whatsoever with their ball crushing blend of metal that leaves no room for recovery or time to prepare for the next onslaught. The whole of their debut, “Noetic Collision on the Roof of Hell”, is a 10-track rager that is a true amalgamation of several styles of metal that take influence from so many different places that it’s fruitless to try and identify them all as it’s so much easier and more satisfying to simply call +Mrome+’s creation metal. Few bands can do such a thing, but this debut is a terrific representation of the metal world as a whole wrapped into one sexy package. “Noetic Collision” has got everything we could ask for from the crunchy riffs, aggressive attitude that never goes away, and a draw that calls out to practically every single great trope of metal and applying it to each and every song that +Mrome+ dishes out with masterful precision. To say that one spin of this album is enough is purely criminal as +Mrome+ has truly created something noteworthy here that is both immensely entertaining and very promising.

In short, there’s no denying that “Noetic Collision” is an intoxicating piece that shows these two Polish musicians are well on their way to showing what a powerful force they can be as a metal act. Their debut sets them off right, and given this is a strict studio band a damned good start! I have got a feeling we’ll be seeing +Mrome+ quite soon and see if they can stand up to the standard they’ve already made for themselves with this debut.
