There are many ways for music to be rebellious with almost every style of every genre being its own little rebellion in its own right in some form. While it’s definitely punk that has got to be the king for all rebels when it comes to music, it’s with grind and thrash that metal comes in its most riot inducing forms with the former typically being the most destructive. Many acts tend to just let so much rage and raw energy flow in order to create something for the style, but through concentrated effort and focused energy can it really be harnessed, and that’s precisely what Wardomized brings to the table with their latest offering.

Much like virtually every other form of grind, this is far from nothing we haven’t heard before as it’s all there. Everything that we could pretty much ever come tom expect from any sort of grind album with even a little bit of self-respect comes into play throughout these devastating tracks, but like a well-oiled machine, Wardomized takes that and just makes it fucking work without a hitch. Busting in with every single offering that’s thrown our way being the exact sort of shit you’d expect grind to tackle, “…A Heated Exchange” is a very respectable piece from a band that’s small but got plenty to bring to the table. I’ve seen many acts just make a few nasty songs about whatever nasty shit that comes to their minds, and Wardomized clearly doesn’t shy away from an unattractive subject, but it’s their approach with a slightly less chaotic feel and a much more calculated assault that makes “…A Heated Exchange” an oddly satisfying record to experience. It’s very odd to hear this album and know that I’ve heard it before from other bands before Wardomized, but this act has something in their sound that just works too well as it burrows right into your skull as each track from this record become the sort of material that keep people like me coming back to the world of grind time and time again.

This seemingly unimportant record is a real treat that I just simply cannot help but recommend to any fan of the style be you new or old to the world of grind as Wardomized has created a humble yet furious little monster here that checks off all the right boxes such that it embodies so much of what makes the style awesome to begin with, and if that doesn’t make “…A Heated Exchange” worth hearing then I don’t know what does.
