It’s not too often that I can sit here and be able to say just how happy I am at being completely right for a change. I truly revel in it when it comes to whatever metal has in store for it can effortlessly lead to some truly massive creations, and it’s with immense pride that I can definitively say that’s the case here. When I first heard Insineratehymn almost four years ago, I felt all but confident that they would become a true force to reckon with given their massive performance that they brought with them in order to bring their debut, “A Moment in a Vision”, to life in exquisite fashion. Now, however, it’s with their second that this band has not only upped the ante but increased it exponentially so.

If it was that debut which saw Insineratehymn only start out on their quest for underground domination to become a need-to-know fresh name in the sprawling mass of concrete and bodies that is Los Angeles, then it is with this worthy follow-up that we see Insineratehymn become a name that simply cannot be ignored for all the power that they wield at every turn with all but glorious purpose in mind along with the will to execute. In every way, it’s with “Disembodied” that we see this trio come back to us in such fashion that simply should not be considered anything other than utterly visceral right from the very get-go as this is more than just the next evolution for this band. Rather, it’s a complete transformation in all but vision with Insineratehymn sounding like an entirely different band that feels far more confident in their craft, mature in the overall compositions, and beyond capable in every given category no matter what that is all but ultimately compelling to make for a true death metal experience the likes of which shall not be denied. This is the exact kind of death metal that peop[le are always clamoring for in how it wastes no time, riffs are dripping absolutely all over the place, and the unbeatable attitude to deliver a performance the likes of which can raise the very dead out of the earth who follow their terrible command as the true talent of Insineratehymn comes in at full force for the very whole of “Disembodied” to make it not only a massive experience of all that death metal can and should be in this vein, but a template as to how it can be done to maximum, glorious effect.

To see such a band like this see their very potential and simply go for it is a true delight in every form, and words just cannot express enough how joyous it is for me to be able to witness it come to magnificent fruition like what we’re able to witness to here. The very presence of “Disembodied” is something that is precisely what many of us need to have injected into our veins on a regular basis, and it’s every given fiber of my being that I cannot help but feel that this is just the very beginning of all that Insineratehymn is capable of with the future truly their’s to take without resistance.
