Psychedelic rock has not shortage of such names, and Deiv Id Fuzz is one that is sure to catch the eye of many with the work that he’s done with this solo project and in other acts with the ever-flavorful Demonauta being but one. It’s clear that this is a man that does not sit idly for long, and that is shown in grand detail within all that’s accomplished within his newest effort via his solo project.

Accompanied by some friends this time around, the repertoire of Deiv Id Fuzz is only deepened and expanded upon with all that is delivered within this compelling new album, “The Witch and the Moonset”. To be familiar with the other bands this man is to effortlessly connect the dots that are put forth throughout this experience with practically every single shred of this record able to be traced back to previous creations and the drive that this man has to deliver psychedelic rock with real heaviness, diversity, and tenacity the likes of which immediately sets him apart from much of his competitors despite how ironically voracious it can be in a realm psychedelic rock. Even despite already showing us what he can do many times over, it’s throughout the nine tracks of “The Witch and the Moonset” that we see an unparalleled understanding of the genre with the masterful craftsmanship to match that Deiv Id Fuzz puts forth a standout experience that demands the attention of any who dare consider themselves a fan of anything even remotely related to psychedelic rock. Overflowing with riffs, an always shifting interstellar background, and more than enough bounding from one style to the next for a truly immersive and all-encompassing listen that holds nothing back, Deiv Id Fuzz taps into something on a whole other level to bring “The Witch and the Moonset” to life in such exquisite fashion.

Creations like this are what musicians hope to make even once in their time. Deiv Id Fuzz has been a beacon of consistent excellence with his many different projects flaunting glory at several turn, and it’s even with a solo project that Deiv Id Fuzz displays mastery that can be likened to few others with the same able to be said for his friends involved throughout this album. A work that embody what the sound can be where raw passion and overwhelming talent overlap, “The Witch and the Moonset” becomes an effort that is simply nigh on addicting to lose yourself within.
