This is calculated death metal that puts one leg in front of the other with a real purpose, yet that element of raw unyielding chaos that’s constantly swirling in the darkness plays a big role as Sepulchral Curse’s riffs burrow their way into your skull and the very nuance of their songwriting becomes all the more enticing with every minute. However, it demands to be made clear that this is not typical death metal. Fitting in the style that Sepulchral Curse has based their reputation off, “Crimson Moon Evocations” pulls from all different corners of the extreme metal spectrum to make for another diverse performance that ensures the listener is not just pulverized, but given a magnificent demonstration of what can be done when put into the hands of masters.
