Very rarely is one’s evolution a simple straight path forward. Anything can cause a significant shift in what a band strives to achieve with their sound with anything on the table should the band in question manage to not just envision a change but bring it to life. Even then, it can be difficult very early on that such a shift will not come easily and will sometimes require a very piece of the soul of the artists involved in order to achieve whatever it is they’re going for. Already, Noise Trail Immersion has seen a lot of change over their discography, but it’s with their forthcoming fifth album that we see them in their most caustic form yet.

It’s one thing to make a new effort that feels more intense and violent than what you have crafted before, but it requires something special to make that creation something that’s cohesive despite how much more depraved and unforgiving it is compared to what came before. Noise Trail Immersion has long held a solid grip on what it means to be intense, but it’s clear in every given minute of their newest effort, “Tutta La Morte in Un Solo Punto”, that this Italian act goes further than they ever dared to go previously with the very nature of this creation fiery to the touch and overwhelming in its ferocious spirit. It has been four years since the last outing from Noise Trail Immersion, and it’s clear that the time since was incredibly well spent. There isn’t so much as a single moment throughout these nine unyielding tracks that don’t go for the throat as well as the soul. Barely so much as a minute of reprieve is given throughout “Tutta La Morte in Un Solo Punto” as Noise Trail Immersion carefully crafts the art of a constant onslaught while always lurking in the shadows, waiting for the prime moment to strike, even as the record pulls back briefly in its intensity. A supremely dynamic record with each facet of this creation something to be marveled at for what they achieve both singularly and as a cohesive unit, Noise Trail Immersion accomplishes impeccable craftsmanship to make this a record that isn’t just a mindless assault that stretches out in all direction, but something that seeks the ultimate catharsis as the very fact of existence itself bogs down the soul in every instance to the point that it has but one choice in the midst of such exquisite suffering: immense violence.

Noise Trail Immersion is evidently capable of much given all that they’ve managed to accomplish within their dense discography, and it’s here within the hellish expanse of “Tutta La Morte in Un Solo Punto” that we bear witness to an act that dares to push itself into the very bowels of chaos. Yet, this is not an act that does so purely for the sake of amalgamating with such wheeling madness. Rather, it’s throughout this furious performance that Noise Trail Immersion sought to dissect the very nature of madness itself as it tears at the very foundations of the flesh and the spirit with the results simply bewildering to fall into.
