Despite what some may think, greatness often comes in small doses with the adage “less is more” a big part in bringing such creations to light in such a form that feels as captivating as they are fulfilling. It can be quite a difficult take to make a solid impression in just a handful of tracks within any particular work with it certainly being something that separates the gifted from the masses given what they can accomplish in what feels like hardly any time at all. They already shown us many times over what they can bring to the table, yet it’s in their new three-track EP that Vinnum Sabbathi shows us how it’s done in simply magnificent style.

It always helps to have already established yourself as a need-to-know name in your particular sound. Vinnum Sabbathi should not be a name new to anyone who claims to be paying attention to what goes on in the modern landscape of heavy psychedelic rock, and their reputation is damn good for practically every given reason. Never a band that’s tended to sit in one place for long and leave their fanbase without new material for a long time, it’s only been two years since their sensation collaborative work with the venerated Rezn, yet it’s clear within every given minute of “Intersatelital” that Vinnum Sabbathi is as crisp and consistent as they’ve ever been with these three tracks only building upon the greatness that the Mexican act is slowly becoming more and more renowned for. Wreathed in fuzz and more than capable of riffs that are as intoxicating as they are well thought out, each track is longer than the last with the runtime effortlessly encroaching on twenty minutes to ensure that fans new and old are given more than enough material to become lost within as the stars wheel overhead and the vast colors of the cosmos are so close that you can touch them. It may seem compact relatively, but “Intersatelital” packs a hell of a wallop.

A brief but expansive excursion into the greatness of outer space driven by an impeccable sense of heaviness and psychedelia, Vinnum Sabbathi furthers its reputation as a staple act of heavy psych in compelling form that more than warrants investigation by any and all sonic astronauts. Indicative of the talent at play and more than capable of throwing its weight around in more than a few instances, “Intersatelital” holds nothing back, goes for glory, and achieves magnificence in relatively no time whatsoever.
