 Yet another fantastic album of last year that had managed to escape my radar has been given to me by the head of the PR company Transcending Obscurity! “Deathsteps to Oblivion” is (as it sounds) a hardcore death metal album that also has black, sludge, and doom metal thrown into the mix to complete an absolute Goliath-like album. Slaves of Evil – Madness of Silence

Ara – Devourer of Worlds

 This is by far the most Cannibal Corpse-like album that I’ve heard since . . . well . . . Cannibal Corpse! “Devourer of Worlds” is an ultra raw death metal that absolutely melts your ear drums. Scion A/V Presents – Red Fang

 This 2-track EP is probably one of the best hard rock albums I’ve heard since Kyng’s “Burn the Serum” (fabulous). While, as you might’ve noticed, this isn’t put out by Red Fang themselves but it is made by them. Cretin – Stranger

 Holy. Fucking. Shit. This album is so goddamn raw that if it were a steak then it’d be still attached to a live cow; as raw as it gets. He Whose Ox Is Gored – Rumors

 This post-hardcore punk album is definitely one for those of you out there who enjoy your gritty punk music from a band that also has softer side in the latter half of the album. Cyhyraeth – Servant to the Fire

 Before I get anywhere, let me just say that I love that cover. It looks badass. Now, Cyhyraeth is the best melodic death metal band to have come across my radar since Despite did a few months ago.
