Saint Diablo – Devil Horns and Halos

 I remember hearing Saint Diablo’s well received sophomore self-titled album and thinking “meh” at best. And then I saw that they were releasing their third album, “Devil Horns and Halos”, and felt skeptical when I got the email containing the album, and holy fucking shit was all that worrying for nothing. Never Again – Death Metal Tsunami

Santonegro – Derailing

 This is one of those albums that you’d listen to if you were just on a long drive and wanted some nice rock to listen to all the while. Torchia – Ending Beginning

 Of all the sub-genres of metal that there are, I’m probably the most familiar with death metal of all of them. Torchia sadly brought nothing all that new and fascinating as their debut EP, “Ending Beginning”, is a basic death metal album that is just that: death metal. Ende – The Rebirth of I

 I remember hearing Ende’s last EP, “The God’s Rejects”, a few months ago for the first time and just being blown the fuck away. Riverside – Love, Fear and the Time Machine

 I’ve never been big into progressive rock as it’s always felt bland and unoriginal in a lot of cases, but Riverside have broken that streak for me with their brand new album “Love, Fear and the Time Machine”. Magen – Thoughts in Greyscale

Esotera – Origin

 It’s typically easy enough for me to put an album into a subgenre or two, but with Esotera’s debut album, “Origin”, I can only come to death metal as a conclusion, but even then it doesn’t feel like death metal. Slayer – Cast the First Stone (single)
