Top 25 Albums of 2014

Just a quick disclaimer before you go down below to judge my favorites of last year: all these albums are albums that I’ve reviewed on here and they came out in 2014 of course. Now this list was made completely independently by me without any influence in the rankings other than how often I listen to the albums, and how high of quality I found them to be. Interview with A Breach of Silence’s Mat Cosgrove

First off, let me thank you and A Breach of Silence for taking time to read all these questions. Love the work so this is a real honor.   “The Darkest Road” was a fucking great album especially the tone and direction you took it. How did you guys come up with that? What is the story behind that?  The patient waiting done by me and thousands of fans around the world have been has been rightfully rewarded. “The Darkest Road” is by far a superior album compared to “Dead or Alive” to me. This album was amazingly beautiful. If you are a fan of all metal like I am then this is certainly one of the best album of 2014 if not the best. And if you don’t like this type of metal (or metal all at for that matter) then you at least be marveled at the tone and direction A Breach of Silence took on this album. The … Continue reading A Breach of Silence – The Darkest Road

A Breach of Silence – Dead or Alive

Once again, another treat from the good people over at Eclipse Records have put out an album that much like Blowsight’s “Life & Death” and Our Last Enemy’s “Pariah” has legs of its own and is an excellent showcase of the bands raw talent and skill. And for those who know your albums, I know this is (once again) an album released over six months ago, but this is another album I couldn’t turn down a review for simply because of how good it is. All throughout this album I heard something very subtle but obvious that I couldn’t place … Continue reading A Breach of Silence – Dead or Alive
