I’ve never heard of Affiance or either of their first two albums, but “Blackout” absolutely blows it out of the water for me. The album is very catchy but it avoids having a poppy sound to it that sometimes doesn’t mix well with metal and can screw it up for many people but that is not the case here. Affiance manages to avoid that and still making “Blackout” one great piece of melodic metal that I’ve no doubt many people will enjoy.
