Hybrid Nightmares – The Second Age

 This album is definitely something else for black metal in terms of meaning and story telling since Carach Angren’s arrival on the scene. Chaedrist – Grandevality

 Coming from Germany we have the exceptionally awesome black metal Chaedrist and their new album “Grandevality”. This album isn’t as intense as some black metal albums I’ve heard before, but the intensity is definitely there alongside melodic elements that give the music form and structure that some people, including me, find enjoyable even though we don’t mind how raw “Grandevality” is. Embrace of Thorns – Darkness Impenetrable

 I think we can all agree that just upon the cover art that this isn’t exactly your run-of-the-mill black/death metal album, and in no way does Embrace of Thorns disappoint with their new album “Darkness Impenetrable”. Vermörd – Dawn of the Black Harvest

Feign – Lost to Eternity

Grethor – Cloaked in Decay

Suffering – Chaosatanas

 Judging by the cover alone, I think we can all agree that this is a step above your average run-of-the-mill black metal.
