Despite – Praedonum (single)

Despite is one of those bands for me that no matter they pump out, I manage to love it. Their last EP, “Epic”, was fucking amazing and so was their last single, “Chaos Trigger”. Now this 6-man, 8-stringed melodic death metal band has done it again with their brand new song “Praedonum”. Tackling the issue of children who have been abused and kidnapped are captured within the powerful lyrics as they tell how the disgusting people who commit such crimes will pay for their hellish deeds and then some. Top 25 Albums of 2014

Just a quick disclaimer before you go down below to judge my favorites of last year: all these albums are albums that I’ve reviewed on here and they came out in 2014 of course. Now this list was made completely independently by me without any influence in the rankings other than how often I listen to the albums, and how high of quality I found them to be. And those of us out there who love Despite and thought if “Chaos Trigger” would hold up to the standards of “EPic” have nothing to fear because this single might as well of come off the EP because everything is as good as they were before if not better in some people’s mind. This single is an absolute brutal piece that is just … Continue reading Despite – Chaos Trigger (single)

Despite – EPic

“EPic” was a killer of an album. I’m sure someone could’ve told by the cover which I absolutely love, it’s amazing. Being Despite’s second release it really blew me away. While I haven’t heard their first release (yet), I can tell already that they were either this good from the start or got much better over time because these types of albums don’t happen on a normal basis. The EP was a very well done energetic metal album that is classified as death metal on their bandcamp page . . . I don’t think I would personally call this death … Continue reading Despite – EPic
