Incite – Up In Hell

Told you I was going to be back with this album! Didn’t believe me? Well, fuck you (kidding). And thankfully, “Up In Hell” was better than I thought it was going to be. I thought it was going to be reminiscent of Wretched’s “Cannibal”, and it was in some way but not completely. It was a really solid album, though. As Incite’s third album to be released, the vocalist, Richie Cavalera, commented on Metal Injection that they replaced their drummer and bassist and that “they brought a much more “raging” vibe to the music”. That’s always good news! More rage, … Continue reading Incite – Up In Hell

Free Ride – Venture

When I was told about Free Ride and their first full length “Venture”, I was also told that the band was from Croatia. The guy who suggested Free Ride asked me to do this because he thought that the band was very good and deserved more promotion since Croatia is a small country and not many people are easily informed of Croatian bands, and I was happy to help. I was even more happy to help when I heard “Venture”. The album has a really solid sound to it as metalcore with the vocals doing very well with different pitches … Continue reading Free Ride – Venture

At Fault – Terminal

Anyway, “Terminal” started off really slow for me with the opening track, “Hollowed”, not being as engaging as I thought it would be. But the rest of “Terminal” was much more engaging. The vocals had a nice screaming tone to them that really assaulted the ear drums and never let up the whole time which kept the brutality of “Terminal” ongoing without letting up once. The guitars have an absolutely vicious rhythm the entire time and … Continue reading At Fault – Terminal

Vices – New Breed LP

“New Breed” is the kind of debut LP that gets anyone who likes southern-sounding metal with that grunge to it rioting to and getting the feeling to do anything and everything whether it’s legal or not. I’m not saying you should, of course, but that’s the feeling you’ll probably get when you hear the debut of Vices. Their music injects you with heart pounding adrenaline and continues to do so throughout the LP without stopping their in-your-face music. The vocals have the harshness of Pantera’s and they are just purely raw to the core and the listener has no choice … Continue reading Vices – New Breed LP
