Eye of Horus – Infernal Calling

 Ah, melodic death metal; one of my favorite genres in the entire metal kingdom simply because it’s intense and has form to it that makes it a little bit catchier to me. Archaea – Catalyst

 I’m not sure what it is with Gothenburg, Sweden producing amazing melodic death metal bands, but I can say that I’m not even getting close to bored with that place after it’s produced great bands like Despite and Chugger. Despite – Praedonum (single)

 Despite is one of those bands for me that no matter they pump out, I manage to love it. Their last EP, “Epic”, was fucking amazing and so was their last single, “Chaos Trigger”. Now this 6-man, 8-stringed melodic death metal band has done it again with their brand new song “Praedonum”. Carnivora – The Vision

 In my time of exploring melodic death metal and it’s various bands, I’ve not found a whole lot of bands of the genre that are based here in the USA and sound good while they’re at it. Countless Skies – Solace (single)

Human Desolation – Mind Grind Paradigm

Killing Gandhi – Cinematic Parrallels

 I’ve heard of band taking interludes at certain points throughout an album to provide some sort of insight into what the next track or few will sound like, but I’ve never heard of a band that does “trailers” which is basically an interlude but there’s no music. Unleash the Archers – Time Stands Still
