Vital Silence (band)

After listening to their only 3 songs released on the internet, this honestly sounds like one of those bands that some high school girl would possibly have a crush on. Probably not to the degree that’s been seen with fuck face Bieber. . . but I think you get the idea. They’re that good. Melodic rock isn’t really the best type in my eyes but it has its moments and Vital Silence is one of them. They have a nice flow and sound throughout their songs with the vocals that are smoother than oiled marble. The guitars balance on the … Continue reading Vital Silence (band)

At Fault – Terminal

Okay. . . I’ll say it now. . . I really like that cover. Not sure why, but I do. Felt like I should say that. Anyway, “Terminal” started off really slow for me with the opening track, “Hollowed”, not being as engaging as I thought it would be. But the rest of “Terminal” was much more engaging. The vocals had a nice screaming tone to them that really assaulted the ear drums and never let up the whole time which kept the brutality of “Terminal” ongoing without letting up once. The guitars have an absolutely vicious rhythm the entire time and … Continue reading At Fault – Terminal

Judas Priest – Redeemer of Souls

I’ve no idea why I wasn’t told about this sooner. I was looking at recently released albums and I saw this and screamed “What the fuck?! How did I not know?!” Repeatedly saying “dammit” I went and listened to “Redeemer of Souls”. And I’m even more mad no one told me because this album was really good. It really has that Judas Priest sound to it and it started off really strong, but ended in a way that I wouldn’t call weak but it wasn’t as strong as the beginning. The vocals have the iconic sound to them and they … Continue reading Judas Priest – Redeemer of Souls

Vices – New Breed LP

“New Breed” is the kind of debut LP that gets anyone who likes southern-sounding metal with that grunge to it rioting to and getting the feeling to do anything and everything whether it’s legal or not. I’m not saying you should, of course, but that’s the feeling you’ll probably get when you hear the debut of Vices. Their music injects you with heart pounding adrenaline and continues to do so throughout the LP without stopping their in-your-face music. The vocals have the harshness of Pantera’s and they are just purely raw to the core and the listener has no choice … Continue reading Vices – New Breed LP

Tombs – Savage Gold

“Savage Gold” is a well done brutal LP by Tombs, a band I’ve never heard of before but have now found out that they are one of the most “beloved underground metal bands in all of metaldom” according to some people I asked who listen to more of the uncommon and unknown bands than I do. I don’t usually listen to underground metal. It’s okay to me, not the best for my taste. I know for a fact there are many others out there that’d get on my ass for saying that, but I really don’t care. This album was … Continue reading Tombs – Savage Gold
