I probably should listen to In Flames more. Sadly, I rarely ever listen to them, but “Siren Charms” is so good that it’s made me want to listen to them more and that’s exactly what albums are supposed to do and In Flames exceeded at doing this greatly! “Siren Charms” is an amazing album that even if you’ve never heard anything from this band before I’m sure you can appreciate the quality of it at the very least. The album has a really good sound to it that the people who don’t like the deeper vocals in a lot of metal bands but love the hard guitars (Disturbed for example) can really get into this. The vocals aren’t the same all throughout the album though, they do scream sometimes (not high or low pitched) but I feel like that won’t make a difference because they’re applied very well in each song they’re in so that they sound fantastic. The guitars are quite melodic in my opinion but they also have a feel to them of traditional metal that reverberates through the headphones, allowing you to literally feel each note. And the drums do the same thing that you can feel the pulse of the beat 100% and bathe in its glory at full potential. I liked absolutely everything about this album and I very much highly suggest it to anyone who just likes metal or someone looking for a smooth introduction into the world of metal. You won’t be disappointed.
