Dead Alone – Nemesis

 This album is probably the most perfect blend of black, death, and doom metal that I have heard recently. My only true lamentations about this album is that the album seems to last a lot longer than its actual run time and I’m more of a fast paced death metal guy, but I suppose I shouldn’t complain about doom metal not being “fast”. Unbibium – The Coming of Gozer

 I’m not exactly the biggest fan of deathcore simply because I like my death metal as just death metal and my metalcore as just metalcore. Lord Dying – Poisoned Altars

The Dead – Deathsteps to Oblivion

Slaves of Evil – Madness of Silence

Cyhyraeth – Servant to the Fire

Carcass – Surgical Remission/Surplus Steel

 Carcass have returned with their latest EP which I personally found really, really enjoyable. “Surgical Remission/Surplus Steel” is an EP that is on the “calmer” end of death metal with that they don’t have the same deep, guttural vocals of bands like Cannibal Corpse, and doesn’t have the ultra fast pace of thrash metal.
