The simple act of creating something that is undeniably your own is to craft something that is unlike anything else that has come before, and it always comes with a significant level of risk. If you truly go for it and offer listeners something they’ve likely never experienced before, that means carving out new territory for yourself with volatile elements that may not always come together smoothly or resonate with listeners since being different can all too often not be what people are looking for. Oftentimes, bands struggle to gain a foothold and expand once they’ve entrenched themselves in an isolated pocket of the underground. Yet, there are those like Saprovore who absolutely thrive in such an environment.

Immediately, Saprovore makes sure you know that this performance is going to challenge your very perception of reality itself. Both the laws of our universe and conventional songwriting are thrown to the wayside as “Unuttered Aporetic Omen” tempts you ever further into this roiling existence where nothing but terrific confusion is destined for any who find themselves in the dominion of Saprovore. It’s here that Saprovore builds off what it has accomplished before in previous works as well as what the mastermind has pulled off in other sublime acts of madness like Vertebra Atlantis and Strigiform, and quickly does it all culminate in this off-putting creation that challenges you in every given minute. With its distinct sense of aggressive psychedelia that seeks to harm rather than offer you a euphoric escape, Saprovore leaves you with a deep sense of existential dread that never settles in one place for long. It’s as if the work was designed to instill the listener with an even deeper terror that seeps down through to your very bones to the point that you’re like a feral beast desperate for escape. Yet, “Unuttered Aporetic Omen” offers no such reprieve. It’s a testament to the unique approach to songwriting that Saprovore has taken here as it’s with the unorthodox that this record effortlessly gains an air of intrigue that’s mixed gloriously with something far more primal than what I think many might expect before fully surrendering themselves to the experience.

“Unuttered Aporetic Omen” is unlike much of what has come before, and Saprovore makes it look all too easy as the entity dares us to dive ever further into a swirling vortex of howls and bone the likes of which there is no return from. Creations like this are what separate those that dream to dare and those that seize the opportunity with both hands.
